End of November Wrap-up

November 28: My family
Today, we got to spend the afternoon with my loud, crazy family. On my mom’s side, there are 5 siblings in the states with everyone else still in the Philippines and my dad is the only one on his side to be here, everyone is in Vietnam. This was an extra special year because it was my cousin’s first Thanksgiving. My aunt hosted and it was wonderful being with everyone, it is not very often that we all get together. I was extra grateful that J only had to work in the evening, so he could spend some time with us before going to work.

November 29: New days for new starts
I am grateful for the opportunity to wake up every morning to a brand new day. No matter how crappy the night before was, you get a clean slate the next morning. Hopefully we all take advantage of the new day full of new chances.

November 30: Good friends and good wine
Today, we spent the day with some good friends wine tasting. It had been awhile since we were able to go out and it was a lot of fun. It has been very stressful these past few months and it was nice to forget all that and just enjoy good friends and good wine. J and I ended up joining a wine club too. We really fell in love with the Philip Carter Winery. We had gotten a deal for a winery tour, tasting and picnic basket. The scenery is beautiful and the wines are delicious. We liked every single wine that we sampled and that never happens. It was a great way to say goodbye to November.

The holiday season is upon us! We have our tree up and it is just waiting for all the presents. I hate that the holiday has been sneaking into stores earlier and earlier, but now that it is December I am getting into the spirit. Can’t wait for the Christmas cookies and hot chocolate and spending more time with family!
